Many of our Retailers are family-owned lumberyards doing business with family-owned builders. What’s more, Hastings itself is family-owned, as is Marvin Windows and Doors! Hastings and our Retailers host many customized events for contractors, ranging from presentations over lunch to a quick break of coffee and donuts. Each year, we welcome thousands of builders to major industry trade shows such as JLC Live in Providence Rhode Island. These events allow us to strengthen our builder relationships and help builders learn more about the Marvin Family of Products.
Another way we build relationships with trade professionals is by bringing them to visit the Marvin factory in Warroad, MN, just six miles south of the Canadian border. We believe that to truly understand the magnitude of what goes into the Marvin Family of Products, seeing is believing! Hastings organizes dozens of trips, hosted by our Retailers, to Marvin in Warroad for builders each year. Specifically tailored for each group, these comprehensive tours provide a solid understanding of the products, including installation best practices and appropriate applications for the product lines. It has been said that “Once someone visits the Marvin plant in Warroad, they leave a customer for life!”
