Fire Damaged Dining Hall is Restored with Marvin Windows

Posted: October 28, 2013

DSC02671The Deerfield Academy was founded in 1797 in Deerfield, Massachusetts and has over 90 buildings on its picturesque campus. Sit-down meals are one of the Academy’s most important traditions and attendance to the daily meals is mandatory for both boarding and day students. When a fire in the basement kitchen damaged the dining hall above, the school decided it was time for a major renovation. With requirements that included matching the original look and color “Deerfield Beige”, value engineering, and low maintenance, Marvin windows were chosen as the right fit for the job.
