From our chairperson

Dear Friends,

In 1997, A.W. Hastings launched T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More), an employee foundation charged with supporting charitable organizations that are close to Hastings employees’ hearts. T.E.A.M. has supported many charitable endeavors through the years – and over time, several of these organizations became near and dear to us, in honor of employees who were directly affected by the diseases these groups are fighting to cure. They are The Alzheimer’s Association, Rays of Hope for Breast Cancer, and The Multiple Sclerosis Society. For years, T.E.A.M. held countless fundraisers to help fight these diseases. Collectively, these were called our Big 3.

Recently, T.E.A.M. opened our annual giving to an additional organization that changes each year. Hastings employees nominate an organization that is important to them, and one is selected. The funds raised throughout that year are then divided four ways among our chosen charities. Our giving program is now called the Hastings Family of Charities.

This year, our 4th Charity is Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer.

We would like to make 2018 a very impactful year for our commitment to the Hastings Family of Charities. We are hosting, for the first time, the Hastings Family Golf Tournament to raise money for these four very worthy organizations. The 2018 Hastings Family Golf Tournament will be a true celebration of the spirit of giving and a fun-filled day of togetherness at beautiful Elmcrest Country Club in East Longmeadow. We invite you to join us as a golfer, sponsor or dinner guest.

Thank you very much for your consideration, and we look forward to welcoming you to our family!
